Consistent with that goal is regular attendance at monthly Board meeting whose purpose is to foster communication between Board members and the parent/player constituency on a regular basis. Consideration of important topics vital to the interests of BYSA, particularly expenditure of funds, policy making, adjudication of disputes, short and long term planning, and fundraising are all matters of interest to the Board, among others.
It is presumed that all Direstors will punctually attend all meetings whenever possible and when not able shall attampt to notify in advance another Board member who is planning to attend. Failure to attend 3 consecutive meetings and/or 4 meetings in a calendar year shall be grounds for recommendation of dismissal to the full Board by any individual Board member or by the Advisory Committee and shall require a majority vote of the Board.
In addition, it is expected that all Board members carry out their volunteer responsibilities in a benevolent, ethical, diligent, communicative and faithful manner. Any breach of these ideals shall also be grounds for recommendation of dismissal to the full Board by any individual Board member or by the Advisory Committee and shall require a majority vote of the Board.
Any parent or immediate relative of a registered player is eligible to perform volunteer activities for the BYSA. All volunteer participants in the program, in any capacity, must complete and forward to MYSA annually a "Kidsafe" form prior to beginning any BYSA activity.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Approximately (30) days before the annual general meeting of the Association, the President shall convene the Advisory Committee to consider and nominate candidates for the elected officers as delineated in the Constitution and referred to as the Executive Board.
